THE HUB

If the village finds itself in unusual circumstances, such as prolonged power outages, flooding or road closures cutting off the village, the Village Hall may used as a temporary hub or central meeting point.

A system is being put in place that will come into force during these extenuating circumstances. There is a dedicated team who will become points of contact, and the instigators of the hub being opened for use.

A generator is about to be installed. This will enable the Village Hall to be both heated and lit. In addition, it will sustain enough power to provide hot drinks, and charge small electrical appliances such as mobile phones.
